TrueBalance is a STEM toy that was developed in conjunction with occupational therapists and physiotherapists to improve coordination with people whom have suffered from a brain injury or stroke. Wooden discs are loaded with magnets with each disc rotating on a single disc and creating unpredictable movement and fun. The object of the game is to align all the discs. This device can help to improve concentration and coordination or wrist proprioception. It works the wrist, hand, forearm and shoulder muscles. It is suitable for any age.
We recommend using the device after wrist injury, hemiplegia or for people with coordination difficulties. Children can also benefit from this STEM toy by learning about magnets and engineering as they build fine motor skills and have fun in the process. It can be graded by using the device close to the body or away from the body or even whilst standing on one leg for an added challenge.
