Profile
Cassy earned her Master of Occupational Therapy from Flinders University in 2018, following a Bachelor of Psychological Science and a Graduate Certificate in Disability. Her diverse training included paediatric, acute, and neurological rehabilitation placements. During her master’s, she helped design a modified constraint-induced movement therapy protocol for stroke patients.
Cassy began her career in paediatrics, working with children with neurodevelopmental and congenital conditions, and supported their participation in activities like school and social-emotional interactions. She later transitioned to an inpatient hospital setting, where she assisted acute and sub-acute patients post orthopaedic and neurological surgery, focusing on adaptive strategies and maintaining independence.
Most recently, Cassy worked in community NDIS practice, with a large focus on completing Functional Capacity Assessments and low-cost assistive technology prescription. Her passion lies in helping participants achieve their goals and advocating for their needs.
With a strong background in occupational therapy and a keen interest in human anatomy, Cassy joined SA Hand Therapy in 2024. Under the guidance of her senior team, she is honing her skills in evidence-based hand therapy. Cassy is dedicated to supporting both the physical and emotional recovery of her patients.
