Celebrating Success!

SA Hand Therapy hosted a recent gathering with staff to celebrate the success of Suzanne Caragianis, founding owner-Director. After 29 years, Suzanne has handed over the business ‘reigns’ to Michael Janetzki and Jordan Lefmann, now joint owner-Directors. Suzanne will continue to work for SA Hand Therapy and offer her expert clinical services to clients, and use her many and varied skill-sets to continue training hand therapy staff. She will also focus energies on development and training of hand therapy in Bhutan, a long-standing ‘passion project’ of hers.

Suzanne has taken SA Hand Therapy from a sole-therapist service to a multi-centre business with currently 11 therapists. She has trained huge numbers of occupational therapy students over the years and forged relationships with surgeons and medical/ allied health groups. Suzanne’s legacy to the company is demonstrated in the reputation SA Hand Therapy has in this state – that of expert care and knowledge in all things upper limb related. We are so excited to continue building the business with Suzanne at our side, training up further generations in the medical field which we are all passionately invested in.

We also celebrated the retirement of long-term employee and previous practice manager Stella Tan. Stella has been involved from the outset with SA Hand Therapy, the original administration staff member. Stella was influential in encouraging Suzanne to move the business forwards and create a space at 638 Goodwood Road which we continue to use today. Stella is detail-oriented, always working hard behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly. Our team are so proud to have staff (both administrative and clinical) who are committed to improving the lives of people with a hand injury. We wish her all the best with her retirement and spending more time with family and grandchildren.
